Service members are one of the most important groups of people in the United States because of the intense nature of their work.
When we started VeriAccount not only did we want to be a financial services company for the community, but we wanted to have a safe place for service members to go to when they need help managing their finances.
Our goal is to reduce the number of homeless veterans in this country by helping them manage and take back control of their finances.
We truly believe that service members save our country and protect our rights, this is what heroes do, so we started the Heroes Program

why we started the heroes program
The reason why we started the Heroes Program is simple;
Many members of our veteran communities need financial literacy skills and assistance as the statistics below show us.
According to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans
(a nonprofit based in Washington DC):
- 26% of the homeless population are veterans.*
- 33% of the male homeless population are veterans.
- 15% served before the Vietnam Era.
- 47% served during the Vietnam Era.
- 17% served after the Vietnam Era.
- 67% served three or more years.
- 33% were stationed in a war zone.
- 25% have used VA homeless services.
- 89% received an honorable discharge.
- 56% of non-veterans.
- 79% reside in central cities.
- 70% suffer from substance abuse problems.*
- 45% suffer from mental illness.*

Although our country provides financial assistance and some resources for veterans, VeriAccount aims to fill in the cracks where many veterans may fall into solely because they don’t know where to start in their financial journey.
Moreover, active service members may need help in handling their finances if they’ve never had experience in taking advantage of all the financial resources they now have at their disposal.
